Membership Information
Goals:
- Continue to advocate on the national, state
and local levels. NSAA was successful in getting
Student Assistance recognized in the President’s National
Drug Control Strategy; ONDCP materials and as a signon
supporting prevention efforts in USA Today and People
Magazine.
- Advance Student Assistance practices
through increased opportunities to unite science
and practice. NSAA has increased its Scientific
Advisory Board to address the growing need for evidencebased
practice. NSAA funded research through Colorado
State University R & D was accepted by the Campbell
Collaborative.
- Provide information, education, training and
technical assistance at national, state and local
levels on best practices in SA.
NSAA presents at numerous state SAP
Conferences annually; is currently offering
a two-day Student Assistance Development
Training and additional advanced topic
trainings; and offers tools and
downloads to members.

Affiliate Membership is appropriate for
organizations and state associations who support
advancing the field of Student Assistance as well
as the mission and vision of the National Student
Assistance Association.
